We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Fractional Controller to lead financial oversight and strategic accounting initiatives for our organization. Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of comprehensive financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory standards
- Manage the month\-end and year\-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting
- Lead internal controls implementation, including SOX compliance procedures, to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory adherence
- Coordinate cash management activities, including treasury management, accounts receivable/payable processing, and forecasting
- Supervise accounting teams responsible for corporate accounting, cost analysis, payroll, and technical accounting functions
- Conduct detailed financial analysis using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools to inform strategic decision\-making
- Ensure timely regulatory reporting for government grants or non\-profit entities while maintaining strict adherence to governmental accounting standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and international accounting standards
- Demonstrated expertise in managing accounting systems and financial software platforms
- Extensive knowledge of SOX compliance, regulatory reporting, and financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping and debits \& credits
- Strong background in non\-profit or governmental accounting environments with familiarity in public sector regulations
- Excellent skills in spreadsheet management, Excel data analysis, and financial report writing
- Ability to lead managing accounting teams effectively while fostering collaboration within finance teams
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable processing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial close processing
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills and business acumen
