Role Description This is a part\-time/in\-person role for a Fractional Controller (Contract/20 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks). The candidate will oversee day\-to\-day financial operations and support the existing Controller to catch up on financial closings going back 3 months. They will also help with preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will be responsible for maintaining internal controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and monitoring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies. The candidate will analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations, collaborate with leadership on strategic financial planning, and support audits and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting, with the ability to apply principles to day\-to\-day operations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting decision\-making.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems; advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or governmental accounting roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Hands\-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero is essential.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for governmental or non\-profit organizations.
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts including account reconciliation, general ledger management, and technical accounting principles.
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certification (CPA) is a plus.
Pay: $56\.00 \- $80\.00 per hour
