Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Operating Officer to help build the operational infrastructure of a growing boutique advisory firm.

This role is ideal for an accomplished RIA executive who enjoys creating scalable businesses, mentoring employees, improving processes, and partnering directly with the founder.

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner responsible for designing and implementing the systems that allow the firm to grow efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

Operations

\- Design and document firm\-wide operating procedures

\- Build scalable workflows across investment operations and client service

\- Develop operational dashboards and key performance indicators

\- Improve efficiency through automation and AI\-enabled workflows

Client Experience

\- Oversee client onboarding and service processes

\- Enhance service standards and communication workflows

\- Ensure a consistently exceptional client experience

Technology

\- Manage relationships with custodians and technology vendors

\- Oversee CRM, portfolio management, reporting, cybersecurity, and document management systems

\- Recommend and implement technology improvements

Human Resources

\- Develop employee policies and performance management processes

Compliance \& Risk

\- Coordinate with the firm's Chief Compliance Officer and external compliance consultants

\- Maintain operational calendars and internal controls

\- Assist with business continuity and cybersecurity planning

Financial Management

\- Develop annual operating budgets

\- Monitor profitability and operating metrics

\- Manage vendor contracts and expenses

Strategic Planning

\- Translate strategic initiatives into actionable projects

\- Lead implementation of firm priorities

\- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Founder

Qualifications

\- 5\+ years of leadership experience within an SEC\-registered RIA, multifamily office, OCIO, or institutional investment firm

\- Demonstrated success scaling advisory firms

\- Knowledge of RIA operations and custodial platforms

\- Experience implementing technology solutions and workflow automation

\- Strong project management and leadership skills
