Role Overview
We are seeking a U.S.\-based Fractional HR Manager to establish and manage HR operations, compliance, and people practices for our U.S. workforce and client\-facing teams.
This is a high\-impact, low\-hour commitment role ideal for a senior HR professional who can operate independently, bring structure quickly, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership.
Key Responsibilities1\. U.S. HR Compliance \& Operations
- Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state employment laws
- Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and documentation
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes for U.S.\-based employees and contractors
- Maintain HR systems, documentation, and audit readiness
2\. Contractor \& Workforce Structuring
- Support structuring of 1099 contractors, part\-time, and full\-time roles
- Advise on classification, contracts, and compliance best practices
- Partner with leadership on scaling a flexible, client\-aligned workforce model
3\. Talent \& Hiring Support
- Assist with hiring processes for U.S.\-based roles (coordination, offers, onboarding)
- Ensure a strong, consistent candidate and new hire experience
- Support rapid ramp\-up of talent aligned to client engagements
Qualifications
- 7\+ years of HR experience with mandatory background in IT Consulting, Software, or IT Services organizations
- Strong expertise in U.S. employment laws and HR compliance
- Proven experience supporting contractor\-heavy and services\-based delivery models
- Deep understanding of 1099 vs W2 classification and workforce structuring
- Ability to operate independently in a fractional / advisory capacity
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Pay: $40\.00 \- $100\.00 per hour
