About This Role
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fractional HR Consultant to provide part\-time HR support and guidance for our growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who can help manage day\-to\-day HR functions, ensure compliance, and support leadership with best practices—without the need for a full\-time hire.
This position will work closely with leadership and leverage our existing HRIS system (Paycom) to maintain efficient and compliant HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage core HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, and employee records
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Review and maintain employee handbook, policies, and procedures
- Serve as a resource for employee relations issues and conflict resolution
- Provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary processes
- Support recruiting efforts, including job descriptions and hiring best practices
- Audit and optimize HR processes within Paycom
- Advise leadership on HR strategy, risk management, and organizational development
Qualifications
- 5\+ years of HR experience (preferably as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Consultant)
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
- Experience working with small to mid\-sized businesses (20–100 employees preferred)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paycom experience a plus)
- Excellent communication, problem\-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic guidance
Engagement Details
- Part\-time / fractional (approximately 10–20 hours per month, flexible)
- Remote with occasional availability for meetings as needed
- Contract or consulting basis
- Will be provided monthly summary of hours and duties
- Any work exceeding the agreed monthly hours must be pre\-approved
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- HR certification (SHRM\-CP, SHRM\-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
- Experience building HR infrastructure from the ground up
- Experience supporting growing organizations
