About This Role
Role Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including onboarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, planning and execution of cyclical HR processes, addressing employee relations issues, supporting training initiatives, and applying and enforcing company policies and practices in a fast\-paced, multi\-state, hybrid workforce environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs and systems of record including but not limited to payroll, compensation, benefits, time \& attendance, and leave; routine disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Serves as the primary internal coordinator with the third‑party payroll provider, including payroll processing oversight, change management, payroll reviews, issue resolution.
- Reviews payroll reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Administers employee benefit programs and supports periodic benefit plan reviews, renewals, and pricing analysis in coordination with brokers, consultants, and leadership.
- Implements and supports new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
- May assist with screening and interviews of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Handles employment\-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in routine employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory training and policy acknowledgments.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least two years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment\-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- Agility to manage a high\-stress, fast\-paced environment while maintaining excellent judgment and professionalism.
- SHRM\-CP a plus.
