About This Role

Duration: 8 months

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Team Oversight

  • Provide high-level oversight of the digital marketing team across all functional areas: paid media, website management, Marketo email strategy, and corporate/executive social media
  • Support the team with approvals, stakeholder management, and navigating organizational challenges
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for digital marketing during the absence period, representing the team in cross-functional meetings and leadership discussions
  • Balance strategic oversight with operational support — staying close enough to the work to guide it effectively without becoming an execution bottleneck
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the Digital team, bridging gaps in alignment and process between Marketing and Digital

CMS Migration

  • Serve as the primary driver of the CMS migration from a marketing perspective, building structure and momentum around an initiative that has stalled at the vendor evaluation stage
  • Lead the platform evaluation and selection process, assessing options including Adobe AEM, WordPress, dotCMS, Contentful, Storyblok, and Contentstack against business requirements, team capabilities, and long-term sustainability
  • Develop and execute a structured migration roadmap, including the content audit and site cleanup work that must precede any platform transition
  • Lead the content audit and remediation effort — identifying outdated, redundant, and poorly structured content, and establishing governance for what gets cleaned, cut, or migrated
  • Define the evaluation criteria for the CMS decision, ensuring the team’s capacity to manage and maintain the chosen platform is a key consideration alongside feature sets
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital team throughout the migration process, providing direction and structure where none currently exists
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners and agencies as needed

Ongoing Program Oversight

  • Maintain visibility and quality standards across paid media campaigns, providing strategic direction and approval support
  • Oversee the corporate email strategy in Marketo, ensuring programs remain on track and aligned with broader marketing objectives
  • Provide guidance on corporate and executive social media activity, ensuring brand consistency and strategic alignment
  • Ensure all digital marketing activities maintain compliance with corporate brand standards and regulatory requirements appropriate to a financial services organization

Must-Have Skills:

  • 7+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Demonstrated experience leading a CMS migration or major website platform transition from evaluation through execution
  • Experience leading content audits, site remediation, and content governance initiatives
  • Experience working with Marketo or comparable enterprise email marketing platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build confidence in teams that are taking on new, unfamiliar work for the first time
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience aligning teams that have historically worked in silos
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate a large, complex corporate environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with headless CMS architecture and its implications for content teams
  • Familiarity with digital marketing in a B2B or corporate communications context
  • Change management experience, particularly in building process and governance where little exists
  • Experience stepping into interim or contract leadership roles and ramping quickly.
  • Financial services or highly regulated industry experience.
