About This Role
We are looking for a part\-time creative and marketing contractor for a wedding planner. This person will understand both sides of that equation with a strong creative/art background and the in\-depth marketing experience needed to execute a brand strategy.
This is a focused, high\-craft position for someone who thinks seriously about brand, content, and a particular client profile and audience.
THE ROLE
You will serve as our fractional creative and marketing lead, working across content strategy, social media, SEO, Pinterest, blog production, and brand presence. You will work closely with the owner while also operating with a high degree of autonomy.
This is a per\-file contractor engagement, structured around defined project deliverables. Expect approximately 8\-10 hours per file. Compensation begins at $30/hour and scales with experience and portfolio quality.
TASKS
· Manage and execute the full post\-wedding content pipeline — from sneak peek to grid post to blog to Pinterest. Editing short form video is important.
· Draft SEO\-optimized blog content and website copy for review and approval
· Curate and schedule Instagram content using Planoly or your preferred platform, maintaining the brand's visual and tonal standards.
· Build and maintain Pinterest boards with a long\-form SEO strategy
· Manage IG Highlights, BTS Reels, and publication announcement content
· Optimize image file names and alt text for SEO before uploading
· Contribute to broader content strategy across destination markets
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The right person for this role has genuine creative taste and real marketing competence. We are not looking for someone who can do a little of everything or who is looking to parlay skills from one field to the wedding sector. We are looking for someone who is trained and educated with experience in the arts and also in marketing.
Education
A BFA, BA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Art Direction, or Art History is strongly preferred. A BA or BS in Marketing, Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, or Digital Media is equally considered. Candidates with an English or Journalism background and demonstrated marketing experience are welcome.
Experience
2–8 years in a marketing or creative role. Community management, content strategy, brand marketing, or agency creative experience all qualify. We are looking for someone who has built brands.
Industry Fluency
Having worked in hospitality, food \& beverage, and any luxury goods sector is helpful.

Application Question(s):
- This role requires both strong visual creative instincts and analytical marketing thinking.
Which comes more naturally to you, and how do you compensate for the other?
- Please include a cover letter or response here explaining the education and experience you believe makes you a top candidate. We are looking for someone highly creative, with a deep understanding of our client profile and marketing. We want to see something from your portfolio that's interesting and artful, but we also want to know that you can execute a marketing strategy across multiple platforms.
- Name a luxury brand outside of the wedding industry whose content marketing you find compelling.
Tell us what it does well — and what it avoids. We are less interested in the brand you choose than in how you can describe why it works.
