Fractional CFO

Controller – Hospitality \& Real Estate Group Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands\-on Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations across a multi\-entity business platform consisting of restaurant operations and real estate holdings.This role requires strong experience with Restaurant365 (R365\) for hospitality accounting and QuickBooks for real estate and entity\-level reporting.Key Responsibilities Restaurant Accounting (Restaurant365 – R365\)

• Manage full\-cycle accounting for multiple restaurant locations using R365
• Oversee accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor management
• Ensure proper GL coding, consolidation of invoices, and clean financials across locations
• Monitor and reconcile daily sales, POS integrations, and bank transactions
• Maintain accurate food cost, labor cost, and prime cost reporting
• Lead monthly close process including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Review and analyze store\-level P\&Ls and identify variances
• Ensure consistency in multi\-location financial reporting and controls
• Coordinate with operations team on budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls

Real Estate Accounting (QuickBooks)

• Manage accounting for real estate entities, properties, and investment holdings
• Maintain books in QuickBooks (multi\-entity structure)
• Track and reconcile:
• Rent rolls and tenant payments
• CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges
• Property expenses and capital improvements
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare entity\-level financials (P\&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Manage intercompany transactions and allocations
• Support loan tracking, debt schedules, and interest calculations
• Coordinate with outside CPA on year\-end and tax reporting

Core Accounting \& Finance Duties

• Oversee:
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Payroll review and reconciliation
• Bank reconciliations
• Journal entries and general ledger integrity \[Document11 \| Word]
• Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Manage cash flow across multiple entities
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare consolidated financial reporting across all companies
• Assist ownership with financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support

Systems \& Software Requirements

• Required:
• Restaurant365 (R365\) – strong working knowledge of accounting workflows
• QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) – multi\-entity experience
• Preferred:
• POS integration experience (Toast, Micros, etc.)
• Excel (advanced reporting, reconciliations)

Qualifications

• 5–10\+ years of accounting experience (controller or senior accountant level)
• Experience in:
• Multi\-unit restaurant / hospitality accounting
• Real estate or property accounting
• Strong understanding of:
• Financial statements
• Cost controls and margins
• Multi\-entity structures
• Highly organized, detail\-oriented, and hands\-on
• Ability to manage multiple companies and priorities simultaneously
