Job Description:
The Director of Advisory Services for Retirement Planners will lead and manage a team of Retirement Planners, as well as oversee RPOA Insurance Group. This individual will be responsible for driving the growth of AUC by coaching their team on best practices of gathering outside assets from existing clients, acquiring new client referrals, and controlling disbursements. The role also includes overseeing the operational aspects of Retirement Planning services, including, but not limited to, compensation, client services, and ensuring that all aspects of our service offerings are fully optimized for the benefit of our clients. This role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer under Advisory Services.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership \& Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Retirement Planners, ensuring that they meet their goals related to Organic Growth and Household retention.
- Foster a high\-performance culture focused on client satisfaction, revenue growth, and continuous improvement.
Asset Gathering \& Client Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize Wallet gathering from existing clients.
- Drive initiatives to increase client referrals, working closely with Retirement Planners to identify and capitalize on referral opportunities.
- Oversee disbursement maintenance strategies, ensuring they are in line with client goals and regulatory requirements.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the effective delivery of client services by managing processes, resolving escalations, and overseeing the operational workflow.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure all Retirement Planning services are delivered in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, operations, etc.) to ensure a cohesive approach to client services and business growth.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 7\+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience \& Skills:
- Strong background in financial advising, sales, advisor development, and/or client service
- One or more of the following preferred:
- Current IAR designation
- FINRA Series 65, or a combination of Series 66 and Series 7
- Other relevant financial designations
- Proficient presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse personalities and experience levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with advisors and leadership.
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
