Job Overview

The Director, Contracting and Procurement will lead Collabrios’ contract management and procurement functions, overseeing both customer contracting and vendor relationships. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost-effective procurement while building scalable, efficient, and compliant contracting processes. This role will also serve as in-house legal counsel.

The Director partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to support customer contract creation, review, execution, and handoff for billing. This role reports to the SVP, Finance, and manages one direct report while collaborating regularly with executive leadership and department leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Contracting Support:

  • Review and support the negotiation of customer agreements (e.g., MSAs, SOWs, BAAs, quotes)
  • Partner with Legal to ensure contracts align with organizational risk tolerance and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to streamline contract workflows and improve turnaround times
  • Maintain contract templates and support the development of negotiation playbooks
  • Track contract obligations, renewal dates, and key milestones using CLM or CRM tools
  • Oversee responses to customer Requests for Proposal (RFP)

Procurement Leadership:

  • Lead and evolve the company’s procurement strategy, policies, and processes
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and long-term value
  • Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Ensure alignment with internal controls, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Finance to develop and manage sourcing budgets

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison across Legal, Sales, Finance, and Operations
  • Educate internal stakeholders on procurement and contracting best practices
  • Lead or support strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for customer and vendor agreement

Requirements:

What You Bring

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management, including customer contracting
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate complex agreements
  • Strong familiarity with legal terminology and common contract structures (MSAs, NDAs, SOWs)
  • Experience working with procurement systems, CLM platforms, and ERP tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Bonus Points if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Prior experience in healthcare and/or software environments
  • Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements related to contracting
  • Certification in procurement (CPSM, CPM) or contract management (IACCM/WorldCC)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth organizations
  • Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving and follow-through
