About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to provide consistent, onsite support to leadership and staff. This fractional role is ideal for someone who can quickly assess needs, maintain strong compliance practices, and provide steady, hands\-on HR support. You will play a key role in strengthening HR operations, supporting managers, and ensuring alignment with Massachusetts and federal employment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite HR support a minimum of 24 hours per week
  • Partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
  • Guide and support disciplinary processes, including documentation and delivery
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file management
  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts and federal employment laws
  • Manage and support leave administration, including FMLA, PFML, and ADA processes
  • Review and enhance HR policies, procedures, and internal workflows
  • Support managers with attendance, performance, and employee communication matters
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit\-ready HR records

Qualifications

  • 5\+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong employee relations and compliance background
  • Working knowledge of Massachusetts employment laws required
  • Experience managing FMLA, PFML, and ADA processes
  • Ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Experience in nonprofit or human services environment preferred
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM\-CP, SHRM\-SCP) preferred
