We are seeking our next Partner to lead our CFO Advisory & Outsourcing practice.
The CFO Advisory & Outsourcing practice is a cornerstone of the firm’s growth strategy. This group provides scalable finance solutions to privately held and middle-market businesses, spanning outsourced bookkeeping, controllership, and CFO advisory, as well as transaction readiness, succession planning, and value growth initiatives. Clients span a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, professional services, hospitality, life science, construction and related industries, as well as non-profit organizations.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Practice Growth:
- Lead the Outsourcing and Strategic CFO Services practice, establishing vision, strategy, and growth objectives aligned with firm goals.
- Drive expansion of the practice through new client acquisition, market positioning, and development of referral networks.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and service offerings to support continued growth and scalability.
- Represent the firm externally through professional networking, speaking engagements, and thought leadership initiatives.
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Generate new business through personal and firm relationships, targeted prospecting, and collaboration with internal service lines.
- Build and maintain strategic referral relationships with commercial and investment bankers, attorneys, private equity firms, and wealth managers.
- Participate in proposal development, pricing, and client presentations to secure new engagements.
- Strengthen the firm’s marketplace presence within the outsourced accounting, CFO advisory, and consulting ecosystems.
Client Advisory & Engagement Delivery
- Serve as a trusted advisor and fractional CFO to privately held and growth-oriented businesses.
- Advise business owners and boards on financial strategy, value creation, succession planning, and governance matters.
- Oversee delivery of outsourced solutions ranging from staff augmentation to full CFO-level leadership.
- Guide clients through finance transformation initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and technology adoption.
Practice Management & Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of consultants and outsourced professionals.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality client service through standardized delivery models, best practices, and performance oversight.
- Implement scalable workflows, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, profitability, and client outcomes.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and professional development within the practice.
Firm Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with audit, tax, and advisory teams to deliver integrated, cross-functional client solutions.
- Contribute to firm leadership initiatives, strategic planning, and growth efforts.
- Promote a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that aligns with the firm’s values and long-term vision.

Position Qualifications:
- 13-15+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or advisory experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or partner-level role.
- Demonstrated success in business development within professional services.
- Hands-on experience as a fractional CFO, Controller, or senior finance leader for privately held or mid-market companies.
- Strong background in M&A advisory, succession planning, restructuring, and value growth strategies.
- Proven leadership experience in building and scaling practices, teams, and client portfolios.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, technology, distribution, hospitality, or related fields noted above strongly preferred.
- CPA preferred, MBA, or other advanced credential highly desirable.
This is a full-time position with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours, including some evenings and weekends, will be required during peak busy seasons.
Pay Range:
The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range do not include benefits and bonus potential, and are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
$190,000.00 - $230,000.00
