About This Role
CPA Collective is seeking a full\-time Fractional CFO/CPA to provide strategic financial leadership to a portfolio of small and midsized business clients. Although this is a full\-time position with our firm, the selected candidate will serve as the fractional CFO for multiple clients.
This is a client\-facing advisory role focused on financial strategy, cash\-flow management, forecasting, profitability, and business decision support. It is not primarily a bookkeeping or tax\-preparation position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial adviser for an assigned portfolio of clients
- Lead recurring financial review and strategy meetings
- Review financial statements and translate results into actionable recommendations
- Develop budgets, forecasts, cash\-flow projections, and financial models
- Analyze profitability, margins, pricing, staffing, and operating performance
- Create client\-specific dashboards and key performance indicators
- Support clients with growth, financing, hiring, expansion, and other strategic decisions
- Coordinate with CPAC’s accounting, payroll, and tax teams
- Participate in onboarding new CFO clients and developing 30\-, 60\-, and 90\-day action plans
- Identify scope changes and additional advisory opportunities
- Help improve and standardize CPAC’s fractional CFO service delivery
Qualifications
- Active CPA license in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting, finance, or advisory experience
- Previous experience as a CFO, controller, finance director, or outsourced CFO
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash\-flow, and analytical skills
- Experience advising business owners and presenting financial information
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines effectively
- Advanced Excel and financial\-modeling skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and professional judgment

The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, relationship\-focused, and able to turn complex financial information into clear business guidance.
Pay: $100,000\.00 \- $115,000\.00 per year
