Senior Bookkeeper \& Advisory Lead
Boutique Beauty Industry Firm
$55\+/hour \| 1099 Contractor \| Remote (US Only)
Core Collaboration Hours: Mon\-Fri, 10am\-4pm EST
We are a high\-touch, boutique bookkeeping \+ advisory firm serving salons, estheticians, med spas, and scaling beauty businesses.
We are hiring a Senior Bookkeeper with strong advisory skills to step into a leadership role inside our firm.
This is not a transactional bookkeeping position.
This is a strategic, client\-facing, team\-leading role.
You will oversee financial quality, guide junior bookkeepers, and lead advisory conversations that directly impact how our clients grow.

What You’ll Lead \& OwnClient Portfolio:
- Review financials for \~14 bookkeeping clients
- Directly manage 5 CFO / Advisory clients
- Lead monthly financial review meetings
- Translate numbers into action plans
- Implement advisory strategies (not just recommend them)
Advisory Scope Includes:
- Cash flow planning
- Profitability strategy
- Budgeting \& forecasting
- Commission payroll structures
- Bonus payroll systems
- Merchant fee analysis
- Managing 3rd\-party software integrations
- Clearing accounts inside QBO
Team Leadership
- Oversee up to 3 junior bookkeepers
- Answer questions and provide guidance
- Review financial statements before delivery
- Ensure close deadlines (15th–20th monthly) are met
- Maintain boutique\-level quality standards
- Report directly to the CEO
Operations \& Systems
- Assist with new client onboarding
- Perform and oversee catch\-up / clean\-up projects
- Create and refine SOPs
- Manage internal workflows in Double
- Communicate with clients via Double
- Maintain response time standards:
- 24 hours (internal team)
- 24–48 hours (clients)
Required Experience
- 5\+ years senior\-level QBO experience
- Strong financial statement review experience
- Advisory or CFO\-style experience
- Confident leading Zoom meetings
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Comfortable working during core collaboration hours (10\-4 EST)
- US\-based

Work Structure
- Contractor (1099\)
- Starting hours vary based on current client load
- Hours will increase as the firm grows
