Inviting applications for the role of Vice President-Advisory Partner, Insurance Applied Advisory
As the Advisory Partner for Insurance, you will be responsible for growing the $22M Industry Advisory practice and enabling strategic growth across Genpact. This role reports into the Global Advisory Leader and is considered a part of the Applied Advisory leadership team. This is a highly senior role requiring deep industry expertise specifically in the Property and Casualty domain, a forward-thinking mindset, experience across insurance sectors, and a deep understanding of advanced technology solutions.
Responsible for driving digital transformation across the insurance value chain. This executive will combine deep P&C domain expertise with a passion for innovation, data, and technology to help clients reimagine their businesses for the digital age.
As a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, the Principal shapes strategy, leads large-scale transformation programs, and builds long-term client partnerships. This role is central to expanding our firm’s presence in the P&C market—integrating business consulting, experience design, analytics, and intelligent automation to deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Vision
Define and lead the global strategy for the Insurance Advisory practice, ensuring alignment with the overall Genpact strategy and that of the given Industry Unit (P&L) Leader.
Lead the development of property and casualty relevant service offerings which can be scaled, ensuring innovation and adaptability to client and market demands.
Shape long-term business strategies, focusing on market trends, emerging technologies, and client needs to ensure competitiveness and future growth.
Develop end-to-end value chain view for the industry that communicates how Genpact can bring value to clients.
Business Growth and Expansion
Drive business development initiatives by identifying new markets, services, and clients to grow the advisory insurance business.
Building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, tracking leads, and ensuring that potential projects are followed through to successful engagement.
Deliver bookings and revenue growth to target via conversion of pipeline opportunities.
Collaborate with regional and global leadership to expand service offerings and enter new markets.
Identify opportunities for expanding Genpact services to drive business value across client engagement.
Identify emerging market trends and client needs to shape go-to-market strategies and thought leadership in the P&C space.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management
Build and nurture trusted advisory relationships with C-suite executives and senior leaders in key client organizations.
Establish strong relationships in key & prospective clients to understand their priorities and the state of their business; use that knowledge to provide strategic recommendations that enable the overall success of their business.
Act as the primary point of contact for high-value global clients, ensuring delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
Provide strategic counsel on business transformation, leveraging domain and advanced technology expertise and emerging trends to solve critical business challenges.
Thought Leadership and Industry Influence
Leverage deep P&C domain expertise – spanning underwriting, pricing, claims, risk management, and digital transformation – to advise clients on innovation and operational efficiency.
Serve as an industry thought leader, representing the organization at global forums, conferences, and industry events.
Publish insights and lead discussions on cutting-edge topics such as AI, technology, data strategy, and digital transformation.
Keep teams and services apprised of relevant Insurance trends and opportunities that can add value to our clients and accelerate our growth.
Operational Excellence and Project Oversight
Operate with a practitioner mindset, overseeing the delivery of large-scale, complex advisory projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Ensure operational efficiency by driving common advisory methodologies and frameworks, developing and driving best practices, and maintaining high standards of project delivery.
Drive resource efficiency and gross margin through the optimization of resource utilization.
Cross-functional and Global Collaboration
Work closely with global teams across various business units (e.g., finance, supply chain, technology) to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
Promote cross-border collaboration, leveraging global talent and capabilities to solve complex, multinational client problems.
Ensure seamless integration of services, balancing advisory services with technology, data, and industry expertise.
Collaborate with senior executives and board members to influence global decision-making, share insights, and help shape overall company strategy.
Act as a key advisor to the executive team on the latest trends in advanced technology and other emerging areas impacting business.
Team Leadership and Talent Development
Responsible for the full end-to-end lifecycle of entire team including hiring, onboarding, assessing, and evaluating performance and exiting team members.
Provide leadership to the team through coaching, mentoring, and development of staff.
Consult with leadership and HR on sensitive and difficult employee situations and issues.
Build meaningful relationships and community within the team.
Ensure new staff are trained in an efficient and effective way.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree / MBA in one of the following disciplines: business, finance, supply chain, accounting, analytics, engineering, technology, GenAI or data management; MBA preferred.
Extensive track record in a leadership position, within a consulting or advisory organization, driving transformation for large organizations.
Deep understanding of the P&C insurance ecosystem, including underwriting modernization, claims optimization, policy administration, regulatory trends and digital disruption.
Thorough understanding of advanced technology and analytical trends including AI, machine learning, cloud computing and enterprise technology systems.
Strong leadership, vision-setting, and strategic thinking skills. Proven ability to guide high-level strategy across complex, global environments.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
Creative and forward-thinking in delivering technology solutions to business problems.
Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and business units, integrating various disciplines to deliver holistic client solutions.

Proven experience managing global, cross-functional teams and delivering solutions across multiple geographies.
Demonstrated success in growing a business unit, service line, or practice through innovation, client relationships, and market understanding.
Experience effectively influencing C-level customers and internal stakeholders.
