About This Role

\<Job Summary\>
Join our vibrant educational team as a Part\-Time Monday French Instructor, dedicated to inspiring young learners through engaging afterschool language programs. In this role, you will foster a positive and immersive French learning environment, helping children develop their language skills while cultivating confidence and cultural awareness. Your enthusiasm and expertise will make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys, encouraging a love for languages and diverse cultures.

This job includes 1\.5 hrs of teaching with snack, supervision, homework and bathroom breaks before and after.

\<Duties\>

  • Lead dynamic and interactive French lessons tailored to elementary school students during afterschool hours
  • Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children
  • Develop age\-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French
  • Support students’ individual learning needs by adapting teaching methods and providing additional assistance as needed
  • Promote positive behavior management strategies to maintain focus and engagement throughout lessons
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to monitor student progress and address any behavioral or academic concerns
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including basic first aid procedures when necessary

\<Skills\>

  • Strong classroom management skills to foster a productive learning atmosphere
  • Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp environments
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
  • Ability to teach French effectively through engaging activities and culturally enriching content
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education accommodations if applicable
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Certification in first aid and child safety procedures preferred but not required
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their growth in language acquisition and cultural understanding

Job Type: Part\-time

Pay: $24\.83 \- $29\.90 per hour

Work Location: In person
