Our firm services hundreds of small business owners and high net worth individuals across multiple advisory offering including Tax Planning, Tax Implementation, and Chief Financial Officer services. Unlike most tax firms focused on compliance, Tax Brilliance helps our clients proactively implement strategies that save them money on taxes and help build a stronger financial future.
About Us
We, at Tax Brilliance Advisors, are no longer a compliance only firm. Instead, we offer a new service, called Tax Advisory (or TAS).
Our firm works solely with small business owners and high net worth individuals to properly plan for their taxes, throughout the year, and get the chance to showcase real tax savings when we file their return.
So what goes into tax advisory services? We focus on maximizing tax planning strategies that can make the biggest impact. Some of those include:
- Entity \& compensation optimization
- Real estate industry strategies (Asset sales, Depreciation, 1031, Real estate professional, ect)
- Workhorse strategies (Augusta, Accountable plan, travel optimization, etc)
- Retirement optimization

1\. Leadership \& Team Management
- Oversee the day\-to\-day operations of the tax team, ensuring productivity and alignment with firm objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set individual goals, and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Lead team meetings to discuss priorities, client updates, and new initiatives.
2\. Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand client services through cross\-selling and new business strategies.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to attract high\-net\-worth clients and small business owners.
3\. Process Improvement
- Evaluate current workflows and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation and advisory services.
- Implement technology solutions to streamline tax preparation, planning, and compliance processes.
4\. Tax Compliance Oversight
- Ensure firm compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Conduct internal reviews of completed returns and filings to maintain the highest standards of accuracy.
5\. Advanced Tax Research
- Perform in\-depth research on complex tax issues affecting high\-net\-worth clients and small business owners.
- Stay current with legislative changes and communicate their implications to clients and team members.
Additional Skills \& Qualifications to Highlight
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in tax software such as Drake, UltraTax, CCH or ProSeries.
- Advanced knowledge of partnership, corporate, and individual taxation.
Client Relationship Management
- Exceptional ability to manage and nurture long\-term client relationships.
- Skilled in presenting complex tax strategies in an understandable way to clients.
Strategic Thinking
- Experience in aligning tax strategies with financial, investment, and estate planning goals.
- Intellectually engage in through discussion, conversation, reading, implementation and monitoring the benefits and strengths to the client of an integrated tax management platform.
- Complement and enhance the connectedness between the disciplines of the integrated wealth management platform. (tax, estate, charitable, investment, risk mitigation and financial).
- Comprehend deeply the philosophy, underpinnings and mechanics of our tax strategy.
Manage the client experience by:
- Reviewing Tax returns and tax plans.
- Setting, preparing, organizing, reviewing and implementing action steps for client reviews.
- Maintaining and increasing the level of service that we extend to clients.
- Participating in new prospective plan designs.
- Monitoring the various relevant components of the client base (such as tax, philanthropic or planning issues as they arise or are scheduled. )
Other Essential Functions:
- Monitors and reviews client quarterly tax estimates to ensure appropriate tax estimates are made. Works closely with other members of the planning team to analyze data and present custom recommendations/solutions. Personally, presents specific tax recommendations within a comprehensive financial plan to clients. Directly contributes to the tax and estate planning process for all clients
- Responsible for conducting, reviewing and administering the firm’s end to end tax return process for a defined population of clients.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
\- A minimum of 5 years experience in public accounting, focusing on tax services for high net worth individuals and businesses.
\- Must possess a valid, active CPA license.
\- Proven experience in a managerial role, leading tax teams with a focus on strategic client outcomes.
\- Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and interpersonal skills.
\- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
\- A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
