Inside Sales Representative – Building Materials & Contractor Accounts
About This Role
Base Salary \+ Commission \| $90K–$120K\+ OTE \| Champion Builder Supply – Elkridge, MD
Champion Builder Supply is seeking a highly organized and results\-driven Inside Sales Professional to manage contractor, builder, and homeowner accounts from our headquarters in Elkridge.
Experienced building materials or construction supply sales professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Professionals currently working with suppliers such as SiteOne, ABC Supply, HD Supply, 84 Lumber, masonry yards, or landscape supply companies will find this role especially familiar.
This is not an order\-entry position.
This role is designed for a professional who enjoys quoting projects, following up consistently, building contractor relationships, and closing deals from start to finish.
Champion Builder Supply serves contractors, builders, and homeowners across the Mid\-Atlantic and operates one of the largest building materials showrooms in the region, supported by extensive inventory and established vendor partnerships.
Our sales team works with an established contractor customer base and active project pipeline.
Many of our sales professionals develop long\-term contractor accounts that generate repeat business year after year.
We provide the tools and support.
Our sales professionals focus on producing results.
Compensation:
- Base Salary \+ Performance\-Based Commission
- On\-Target Earnings: $90,000 – $120,000\+ annually
Total compensation is structured to reward strong sales performance, account growth, and long\-term customer relationships.
Base salary will be commensurate with experience and industry background.
Top performers build strong contractor relationships and consistently exceed the target earnings range.
What You’ll Be Selling:
Our inside sales team supports contractors, builders, landscapers, and homeowners working on real construction projects.
Products include:
- Hardscape and pavers
- Decking and outdoor living products
- Masonry and building materials
- Bulk landscape materials
- Outdoor structures and specialty products
This is a consultative sales environment where strong product knowledge and follow\-through lead to repeat business and long\-term accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound contractor, builder, and homeowner inquiries
- Prepare detailed estimates, quotes, and proposals
- Follow up consistently on open quotes and opportunities
- Manage orders from quote through delivery
- Coordinate closely with operations and logistics teams
- Walk customers through the showroom and product displays
- Educate clients on materials, systems, and best\-fit solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and builders
- Maintain organized sales documentation and account records
- Support outside sales and key account relationships
You will own the customer relationship from first inquiry through completed order.

Qualifications \| Required:
- 2\+ years inside sales, construction supply, or B2B sales
- Experience quoting projects and managing customer accounts
- Strong organization and follow\-up discipline
- Professional phone and email communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Building materials or construction industry experience
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
